Sweet Flower Sampler by Drawn Thread

I started this piece at the end of July. When I was at the retreat, I realized that I didn't do my homework to come up with a RR idea. At the last minute, I figured adding everyone's name on the bottom of this piece would actually make a beautiful piece. And I would be within the RR guideline of using alphabet and only stitching each other's name. I think this will be a bell pull.

Winter Into Spring by The Drawn Thread

Size: 34w x 137h

It is already into the second month of the new year. Time seems to fly faster these days. I am often fly from one time zone into another. On the weekend, I may be in sunny California. And by Monday night, I be walking toward the parking lot in the snow on the East Coast. I thought this is a very appropriate piece for my current state of mind. This piece was very fast to stitch. At the same time, I don't know when I would actually get into the mood to stitch its companion piece.

The Acorn Sampler by The Drawn Thread

Even though Drawn Thread is one of my favorite designer, I have not stitch much of her works in the past. I love acorn. This is so appropriate for the Fall. There are only four colors used in this sampler. The design is very intricate, especially the pull work. So lovely!

Sampler Necessaries by Drawn Thread

I did not want to start anything big at the moment. When I was at Stitchville last month, I found the Needlepoint Inc. silk thread pack put together by Drawn Thread. I quickly purchased it after I bought the chart and the fob thread from Creative Hand during the same trip. I better justify my purchase by actually getting it down soon. This was a first! I am going to make this a shaker pincushion and the complement scissors fob.

The Bee Keeper Scissors Fob by Drawn Thread

I bought this kitted up freebie from Creative Hand when I was in Minneapolis last year. I have the chart but didn't want to invest on the Needlepoint Inc. silk. And I was probably in the spending mood, as the cost of the kit would be about the same if I spent it on the silk. Oh well, we got to keep the LNS going right??? The varigated silk is Silk N Colors: Burnished Gold. I think the shop did a wonderful job in substituting the color.

The Spring Scissors Fob by Drawn Thread

This is the tiniest fob I have ever made. I really do not like four-sided stitch too much. So, I am just going to skip it from here. At least the design wass fun to stitch.

My Valentine by Drawn Thread

My Valentine is an out of print design by Drawn Thread. I was fortunate enough to acquire one from ebay a while back. When I purchased it, I had full intention to stitch it for my serious boyfriend at the time. Unfortunately, when I actually started to stitch this, we encountered some significant problems and would never be able to resolve them. We broke up recently. So I didn't stitch his initials on the piece. My girlfriend suggested I put a frog charm on the piece until I found my soul mate. It is a cute idea. I wish I could laugh at it more whole heartily!

Winter Scissor Fob by Drawn Thread

The Drawn Thread bb is holding a freebie SAL this year. Of course, I am very optimistic since this is only the beginning of the year, to participate and finish all the monthly stitching. (hehe...)
