Fabric is 28ct Antique Ivory. Plum Honey Thread Gatherer hand painted silk is used on the specialty stitch: The Rosette Stitch. It is definitely fun to do the Rosette Stitch. I think I would love to adapt it in my other pieces.

2001 Folds: May by Shepherd's Bush
Size: 37w x 60h
I was a little late with this piece, as I was busy with finishing the Fanciful Blooms. Another quickie, lovely colors. The specialty stitch is named Floral stitch using #1841 NN overdyed threads. The linen is 28ct Cherub Pink linen.

Fanciful Blooms by Ewe & Eye & Friends
Size: 136w x 136h
This was a class kit from the VMS retreat I attended last year. I chose this class because I thought I was learning stump work. This is a different kind of stump work than I expected. It is much simpler and probably faster than the needle weaving kind.
The piece is stitched on Glengee linen (forgive me if I misspelled). The linen is very nice. It is thick and easy to handle. I used hoop when I stitched. But this piece doesn't show it and it is so easy to iron out any wrinkle.
The piece is stitched using Anchor and WDW threads. Specialty stitches include the aforementioned stump work, Kam's coils, smyrna, rhodes, and lots of satin stitch. The original instruction uses French knots on top of the stump work. But I selected to use beads in place of all French knots.
